Pocket Anemometer

This device has fan installed in vertical position so in order to measure wind speed you need to hold anemometer exactly perpendicular to the wind direction. Otherwise measuring will be not precise.

The device is of very good quality made of plastic. Fan is protected so you cannot touch it accidentally. All the data is displayed in small LCD display. Some online shops sell it with additional covering to make it easier to hold in your arms. Notice it yellow in the picture. Neck band and short instruction included together with device.

What are functions of this anemometer? The main one is obviously measuring speed of wind. The device can show measuring in mph, ft/min, km/h, m/s or knots. It can measure current speed, average speed or maximum wind speed. In addition to that wind speed is displayed according to Beaufort wind scale. In addition to the wind speed this anemometer can measure temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit.

Pocket anemometer is very useful thing for free flight modelers and RC aircraft modelers to check speed wind before flying your models especially if you are not very experienced pilot yet.
